Ilonka Kamans is sinds 1995 advocaat en zit “al vele jaren ambtshalve in de hennep”. Veel coffeeshopondernemers behoren tot haar clientèle. Sinds haar beëdiging voert zij een strijd tegen het hypocriete achterdeurbeleid bij coffeeshops. Kamans heeft een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan de kentering in de jurisprudentie op dat vlak. Recent heeft ze zich vastgebeten in de aangescherpte wetgeving over rijden onder invloed van cannabis en de speekseltest.

Ilonka Kamans has been a lawyer since 1995 and “has been working in hemp for many years”. Many coffeeshop owners belong to her clientele. From the start of her career she has been fighting against the hypocritical backdoor policy for coffeeshops. Kamans has made an important contribution to the changes in case law in this area. She has extensive professional experience with the recently tightened Dutch legislation about driving under the influence of cannabis and the saliva test.
